The RYA have a number of courses which allow you to learn how to sail. Dinghy sailing gives you true understanding to all the essentials of how to sail a boat, wind and much more. A lot of experienced sailors started in dinghys and then took that knowledge on to yachting.
Adult beginners'courses
The scheme is comprised of a series of two-day courses enabling you to progress quickly from beginner to experts in a controlled, safe and enjoyable environment. Each course can be taken in a dinghy, small keelboat or multihull (see below for an explanation).

Where to do courses
The London Sailing Club have been working with Aqua Sports who are based in South London for dinghy sailing. They have an excellent centre and run courses every weekend throughout the sailing season.
